Des Moines Curling Club 2024 September 29th Learn To Curl

Join us for at The MidAmerican Energy Company RecPlex in West Des Moines. Our learn to curls are led by experienced club members who will explain the rules of the game and basic technique, and will provide coaching as you learn to throw, sweep, and skip during a 2 hour session.

FAQ

What should I wear?

• Clean shoes and comfortable clothes. Pants that are a bit stretchy are best for throwing stones and a sweater or layers will keep you warm on the ice.

Who can curl?

• Anyone 16 on up! For anyone under 18 we do require a parent or guardian to be with them on the ice. We have a delivery stick for participants who are un-able to bend down for a standard delivery.
