On March 15th we will be hosting a 2 hour Learn to Curl on Rink 2 at the MidAmerican Energy RecPlex in West Des Moines from 7-9 pm. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the basics of the sport from experienced members of the Club and to play a short game. Want to Join a League?

We are hosting a developmental league geared towards newer curler this spring. This will be open to curlers of all skill levels and is a great next step after participating in a learn to curl. The league will include some drills and instruction each week, in addition to a game. The league will be 6 - 8 pm on Sundays starting April 13th and will run until May 4th. Registration will open in March.

• The Cedar Rapids Curling Club is hosting a friendly at the Owatonna Curling Club in Owatonna, MN. The friendly is from noon to 7: pm on Saturday, March 8th. The cost is $20 per curler. The Cedar Rapids Curling Club has sent curlers to events that we have hosted in the past and we would love to return the favor. Send us an email if you are interested! Registration is here.
• The St. Louis Curling Club is hosting their Winter Classic on January 25-26th at the Waltham Curling Club in Illinois. There is a three game guarantee and free food and beer on Saturday and Sunday. The cost is $400 per team. More information can be found here.
• Heather Curling Club in Mapleton, MN is hosting their Five-U-Fling Bonspiel on February 7-9th. This is a five and under bonspiel so participants will be curlers with five or fewer years of experience. The cost is $380 per team. More information here.
